What does the role involve?
Working as part of the Financial Control team within Novuna Consumer Finance, you will ensure strong financial controls and support effective financial accounting and control management. You will lead on routine audits and work closely with our internal and external auditors, ensuring they have everything they need and questions are answered appropriately for areas within your remit. You will support the finance assistants within the team with their development and also encourage the team to look at ways to improve, whether that's systems or processes.
Some of your key duties will include:
* Leading the month-end routines and reconciliations, ensuring the balance sheet accounts are reconciled and support is complete and accurate.
* Responsibility for CF Balance sheet reconciliations and adherence to group policies.
* Identifying process inefficiencies and recommending improvements to enhance the department's effectiveness.
* Supporting the Financial Controller and Deputy Financial Controller in developing and maintaining financial controls and procedures.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a strong and talented Finance professional who ideally has managed people effectively. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to build strong relationships with your stakeholders both internally and externally. You will have a commercial mindset and be able to use this to enhance your financial background.
Also, we're looking for the following:
* CIMA or ACCA Full or part qualified Accountant or qualified by experience.
* People management skills.
* Stakeholder management skills.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
