What is the opportunity?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Wealth Paraplanner to join our Edinburgh office. This role will be supporting the Financial Planning team with the processing of new and existing business, as well as and building knowledge through exposure to client planning scenarios.
What will you do?
* Build your understanding and skills to analyse client’s aims and needs.
* Develop an understanding of core Financial Planning solutions and begin to build knowledge through exposure to client planning scenarios.
* Produce robust financial plans and analytical information in support of Paraplanners, Financial Planners and Financial Advisers under supervision of more senior team members.
* Support Paraplanners with the smooth processing of new and existing business, and with the preparation of client reviews.
* Assist with office business plans and develop an understanding of how the Paraplanner role supports the team in achieving overall objectives.
* Support Paraplanners, Financial Advisers and Financial Planners with client interaction and by developing an awareness of client management and advice processes.
* Understand and comply with all FCA regulations and principles applying to the role.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
* Strong Accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
* Working towards Level 4 Diploma or equivalent.
* Clear and concise communication skills – oral and written.
* Ability to meet deadlines/work within restricted timescales.
Nice-to-have
* Knowledge of RBC Brewin Dolphin values.
* Ability to work on own initiative to achieve required results.
