We are delighted to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced, innovative and dynamic Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).
We pride ourselves on working together as one highly skilled Speech and Language Therapy team and we are looking for a Band 7 therapist to join us to work as part of the Acute Stroke Unit at The Royal Stoke University Hospital and the Integrated Community Stroke Rehabilitation Service in East Cheshire.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of the division of Network Services at UHNM providing Speech and Language Therapy to the Acute Stroke Unit (ASU) at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and Integrated Community Stroke Rehabilitation Service (ICSRS), Eastern Cheshire. This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to work closely with uni/multi-disciplinary teams/agencies, addressing a range of care/support issues across a spectrum of conditions, improving the health and wellbeing of the population served.

* Currently in a Band 6 role as a minimum
* Participated in leadership training
Qualifications and skills
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* Registration with HCPC
* Evidence of expert/advanced clinical knowledge in dysphagia and communication
* Completed RCSLT dysphagia competencies to a minimum Level C
* Competent in Videofluoroscopy
* Participated in leadership training
