Business Development Manager – Manchester
Salary: £60,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join a global company as a Business Development Manager, focusing on creating new business opportunities across Europe. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in business development, preferably within the Industrial Minerals or mining sectors.

Role Responsibilities:
* Drive the development and execution of the regional growth strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s global diversification strategy.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring continued partnership and growth opportunities.
* Research and identify new business opportunities for the company’s products and services.
* Engage with prospective customers, nurturing opportunities through the sales cycle.
* Collaborate with global business development and product teams to provide insights and align on product development or solution strategies.
* Represent the company at industry associations and educational institutions to raise awareness of the brand and products.
Essential Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Product Management, Business, Operations). An MBA is highly desirable.
* A minimum of 15 years’ experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the mining or industrial minerals sectors.
* Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record in business development.
* Flexibility to travel across Europe (minimum 50% travel) and occasional international trips.
Travel Details:
Travel will include:
* Strategic meetings with senior customer representatives at mines and corporate offices.
* Participation in regional and global strategy meetings.
* Attendance at tradeshows and industry conferences.
* Developing and fostering relationships with customers at all levels.
Preferred Skills:
* Exceptional leadership abilities in business development.
* Strong business and financial acumen.
* Proven ability to maintain effective relationships with peers, managers, and subordinates.
* Fluent in English (both written and verbal). Knowledge of a second European language is advantageous.
