Hours: casual, by arrangement – term time only.

We are looking for a School Minibus Driver, to be employed on a casual hours basis, to provide a safe and considerate transport service for our pupils and staff on educational visits or other similar activities.
A full clean driving licence with D1 category licence is essential as is a willingness to undertake any additional training. Any additional training cost will be funded by the school.
You must also have excellent interpersonal skills, a pleasant manner, and flexibility with hours is desirable.
This is a casual contract where hours of work will be agreed on a mutually acceptable basis as and when the need arises.
Duties will include:
* Ensuring the safety of pupils at all times in compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.
* Observing at all times the current legislation and vehicle licensing laws.
* Ensuring pupils are treated with politeness and courtesy at all times.
* Driving with due care and attention.
* Being fully conversant with Fire Control Procedures in order to assist in carrying out emergency evacuation.
* Informing the Operations Manager / Headteacher immediately of any hazardous situation, non-compliance of Health and Safety rules, and threat to the well-being of pupils and staff.
* Ensuring that the minibuses are kept clean and in good condition and undertaking regular visual inspection/checking of tyres, lights, oil, water, and fuels.
* Undertaking training as required.
