Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality care to vulnerable children and young people within a residential care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a caring and empathetic nature, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of lives for our young people. This role involves providing emotional support along with being a positive role model for our children.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in children's residential care home is preferred but not essential - full training will be provided for the right candidate.
2. Good understanding of good work practices, adhering to policies and procedures, along with a positive work ethic.
3. Work to care plans, risk assessments and other relevant documents. Have the ability to liaise with professionals, such as Local Authorities/Social Workers, Clinical teams, management, education and families.
4. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach is essential.
5. Valid manual driving licence is preferred for transporting our young people to and from education, family time and other relevant activities.
6. Ability to work flexible shift hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
7. A ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who is willing to help others and 'get stuck in' with a non-judgement attitude.
8. We genuinely care about our young people (and each other) so honesty and trustworthiness is a must.
9. The resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations and not take situations personally.
10. If you don’t have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll pay for you to study and support you every step of the way!

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
