ITIL Service Delivery Manager - Bournemouth - permanent - Hybrid We are seeking an ITIL Service Delivery Manager to work with our client, a major investment bank, in Bournemouth on a consultancy basis. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Infrastructure technologies, ITIL incident and problem management. Any experience with authentication technologies would be advantageous. Some flexibility may be given to work between London and Bournemouth offices. Role Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced ITIL Service Delivery Manager to join our team to support an ongoing project focused on application migration and modernisation for authentication services. The individual will be working very closely with the regional application and technology teams, and the global support teams, subject matter experts and senior stakeholders. This role will be suitable for someone with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills who can clearly articulate issues and handle management level conversations. The role also requires broad business process experience, strong team player and client focus as well as strong negotiation skills and ability to perform under pressure. The individual must have a strong focus towards problem solving, risk management, change controls, strong analytical mind and ability to disseminate technical information. Key Responsibilities Project Manager for a defined and ongoing project supporting regional application authentication modernisation. Work across Business Application Owners and Tech teams, Product teams, and Infrastructure technology partners to identify product requirements and ensure timely resolution of technical issues impacting application migration activity. Apply solid problem-solving techniques to identify issues impacting progress of migrations Track and monitor the inventory of applications listed for the migration activity, and report on status, progress, and issues. Provide appropriate governance and controls to ensure effective risk and issue identification, resolution and escalation as required. Keep the project on track, escalating decisions to sponsors as necessary Ensure risk management strategies are followed and reviewed within guidelines Plan and set project goals and milestones Manage requirements with a clearly defined and measurable acceptance criteria Detect and solve project issues effectively Ensure project management standards and rigor are applied Act as the communications conduit to executive sponsor & project stakeholders; conducts regularly scheduled briefings/status updates Serve as single point of contact for project level issues / questions / escalations Prepare and/or provide project reporting, metrics, scorecards, etc. Partner with key stakeholders to identify project inter-dependencies that may influence project success Support team in distributing project information to executive management, and key stakeholders Create an environment that breeds trust and collaboration with others Exhibit a strategic business focus with a customer-focused perspective Recognize areas for internal improvement and develop plans for implementation Ensure all measures comply with company standards and procedures Evaluate the impact to Total Cost of Ownership for multiple simultaneous, complex projects Skills and Experience Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management) IT Project Management experience of significant projects with high complexity and client focus, or relevant business or team leadership Experience of Incident Management and Problem Management Experience of application architectures, particularly authentication systems is desirable Proven experience at delivering high quality projects on time & within budget Strong leadership, good analytical, and problem solving skills Proven negotiation & influencing skills Strong stakeholder management & customer focus Excellent oral and written communication skills Expert working knowledge of an industry recognized Project Management methodology Strong knowledge of industry standard project management tools for financial and project reporting Knowledge of technologies, systems, drivers and trends in global investment banking environments backed by a solid understanding of the banking industry fundamentals An understanding of line of business technology drivers Knowledge and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security policies Experience of Budget & Financial Management Experience of project reporting to key stakeholders Experience of listening and gathering customer/user inputs. Simplifying complex topics for non-technical audiences and preparing quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders Ability to motivate Project teams Strong knowledge of IT environment and working with outside Service Providers/Vendors. Collaborates effectively with peers & broader technology teams to ensure successful deliveries Ability to listen, analyse, influence, negotiate and use judgement to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals Please note this role will be working on a hybrid model of 3 days office based and up to 2 days wfh.
