Business Analyst
Fixed Term – 6 Months – 40 Hours per Week
Position Purpose
The purpose of this role is effectively translate business needs into technical requirements to digitise Lab operations across the group.
Responsibilities
Key Deliverables
* Ensure business requirements are well understood, clearly documented and agreed by all affected parties.
* Manage aspects of the change to maximize the business benefit whilst minimizing any operational risk.
Role Overview
* Gather requirements: Work with key stakeholders to understand and document technical business requirements.
* Analyse processes: Analyse existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
* Solution design: Propose solutions to address business needs and drive efficiency.
* Communication: Gain buy-in from the key stakeholders and assist with managing change across the organisation.
* All whilst mitigating any risk or business interruption.
* Assist in project planning, execution and monitoring of timelines/objectives.
Quality
* Maintain compliance with all New Zealand Clinical Research standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements, adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
* Ensures accuracy, consistency, and currency in all documentation and reporting, including accurate record-keeping, version control and timely updates.
Workplace Health and Safety
* Champions a culture of health and safety, ensuring preventative measures are in place to minimize risk to team members and participants.
* Actively identify and report health and safety hazards, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage.
* Understands and complies with NZCR’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.

* Commits to personal health and safety at work.
General
* Undertaking any other appropriate duties that may be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* You must have strong interpersonal skills, and be confident enough to challenge the status quo, whilst being open to any unique aspects of the operation/process.
Experienced BA, with the following skills/capability:
* Business process definition, design and review with a strong attention to detail.
* Requirements gathering, writing case diagrams, and preparing test cases.
* Proactive in setting meetings, making contact with stakeholders & researching potential solutions.
* Previous experience in system implementations and an understanding of the software development life cycle.
* Understanding of data integration mapping preferred.
* Preparing project status reports and identifying and documenting key risks and issues.
* Change management.
* Relationship building and conflict resolution with internal and external people.
* Strong organizational skills are a must for this role; it will require multiple teams in different disciplines and sites to be brought together to agree on unified system processes.
