What you’ll do
As an Employee Relations Manager you will be engaged in the management of higher risk employee relations cases and strategic projects, such as restructuring and TUPE transfers. In addition you will support the maintenance and development of HR policies and lead on the development and delivery of training on employee relations topics.
You will work across a number of business functions and manage projects and cases through to their conclusion in a way which balances the needs of the individuals with the commercial objectives of the business. Other responsibilities include:
1. Take the lead on ensuring that appropriate follow up actions are taken following the conclusion of a high-risk case or projects, informed by data where appropriate.
2. Lead on the delivery of strategic advice to support the management of high-risk employee relations cases, including the management of exit agreements.
3. Work with line managers and HRBPs to enable them to manage high-risk cases through to a conclusion.
4. Coordinate the delivery of follow up actions arising from the conclusion of a high-risk case, ensuring that key stakeholders understand their accountabilities.
5. Deliver strategic advice to support the management of business projects ( TUPE transfers, team restructuring, redundancy programmes).
6. Use data available from ER case management system and the People Analytics dashboards to identify trends relevant to high-risk cases and ensure follow up actions are data-driven.
Who you are
7. Experience of ER or employment law essential
8. Demonstrable experience of delivering solutions to complex problems and cases.
9. Proven ability to own and solve problems, offer solutions, suggest improvements
10. Experience of challenging decisions or established practices in a constructive way
11. Experience in influencing and building effective relationships including with HRBPs and senior stakeholders
