Job Description:
The role of the Sales Assistant is to effectively handle the location stockholding, in order to maximise sales. Work well under pressure and be a proud and passionate ambassador of Ted, demonstrating this through personal presentation and displaying the brand values as outlined in the ‘Mission Statement’ and ‘Vision’.
Roles and Responsibilities
People
1. Offer a high level of team integration and participation, working with integrity and respect for others.
2. Demonstrate effective communication with management and other team members.
3. Have an organised, consistent and enthusiastic approach to daily tasks.
4. Be adaptable and flexible to the needs of the business in support of the team and the location.
5. Actively drive and document your own learning to contribute to the success of the team and location.
6. Ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with Operations and Tedquarters departments.
Product
1. Use all available tools and information to keep up to date on current trends and product offers.
2. Follow merchandising guidelines, replenishment procedures and housekeeping standards to ensure that Ted is represented at the highest level.
3. Display strong knowledge of product levels and availability, in order to effectively support the running of the stockroom and to drive sales.
4. Offer regular feedback to the Stockroom Supervisor and Management team on stock levels.
Commercial
1. Have a good awareness of store performance and targets.
2. Take personal ownership for achieving and exceeding location KPIs with a particular focus on stock loss.
3. Demonstrate speed and efficiency in all tasks, stock handling and replenishment to support sell through.
4. Be aware of and actively support all brand promotions and campaigns.
5. Keep up to date on and share Ted’s social media activity.
6. Have a strong commercial awareness of our competitors and local markets.
Operations
1. Abide by all stockroom operational guidelines as outlined in OperaTED.
2. Work unsupervised, using initiative and completing all tasks efficiently by following company policies and procedures.
3. Process all stock handling requirements such as deliveries, transfers, replenishment and team or customer requests in a timely manner.
4. Adhere to all Company health and safety procedures and be the main point of contact for all stock room areas.
5. Use equipment properly and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management.
6. Adhere to all loss prevention measures and protect the assets of the company by reporting any misuse or theft of Company property to management.
7. Carry out daily checks on tags, reacting and/or raising any concerns to the Management Team.
8. Support in-store; online product activity such as click and collect.
