We are seeking a dedicated Premises Manager to lead the management and maintenance of our school estate, ensuring it remains secure, compliant, and conducive to outstanding educational experiences. About the Role As Premises Manager, you will take ownership of our school estate, ensuring it meets the highest standards in health and safety, compliance, and sustainability. You will oversee all premises-related systems, manage the premises team, and ensure our facilities operate efficiently, aligning with the Department for Education (DfE) Estate Management Competency Framework for Schools. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic estate management plan that aligns with our values and objectives. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, conduct regular risk assessments, and maintain readiness for inspections. Operational Management: Oversee cleaning, security, maintenance, and the functionality of critical systems. Sustainability: Drive energy efficiency, waste reduction, and initiatives to reduce the school s carbon footprint. Collaboration: Liaise with senior leadership, external contractors, and stakeholders to support events and foster positive relationships. What We re Looking For Proven experience in estate or premises management, ideally within an educational setting. Strong leadership and organisational skills to manage a team and coordinate complex tasks. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, compliance standards, and sustainability practices.
