Senior Actuarial Analyst London - Hybrid (min 50% office based) We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Actuarial Analyst, to join our Retail Product Development team, and support the innovation and development of customer focused products and solutions. Reporting into the Head of Product Development, you will provide analysis to support the pricing and structure of product developments, as well as the development of financial models for products being developed to support the analysis required for business case approvals Key Responsibilities: Quantify risks the new products present and support the production of analysis and papers for approval at relevant Committees Produce calculation specifications, test tools, test planning and supporting testing for product developments Work collaboratively across Retail and the Group Actuarial teams to support the product development process Work with other internal teams to support the development and analysis of research and insight from Just’s chosen markets, and adjacent markets. Support propositional/products development from concept/business case to delivery Ensure supporting analysis is of the highest level of quality, is appropriately documented, and has built in checks that can be easily understood by a reviewer. As required, support the development of new and existing pricing metrics to assess the new solutions being considered. Conduct modelling, model updates and analysis to support the marketing and promotion of new solutions and existing solutions that are seeking to gain greater scale in the market Skills and Experience: Degree (or professional equivalent) in maths or a maths-based or progression in the FIA qualification Proven experience gained in the life insurance industry within a UK life insurance company and/or consultancy A background in pricing and/or project work relating to new product development in the life/health insurance industry. Excellent communication skills – able to communicate technical issues, including to non-actuaries. Able to understand and learn new concepts quickly. Able to work and solve problems independently, seeking support when necessary, and clearly communicating well thought through proposals on how to solve an issue. Excellent technical and analytical skills. Excellent skills with relevant computer packages (Excel, VBA), including the ability to develop models from scratch within those packages. Team player, with a desire to develop themself and those around them.
