Salary up to £36,483 depending on experience plus an additional on call standby payment of £1218.05. To carry out all aspects of electrical work to maintain the health service premises across the estate. Install, test, commission, maintain, service and repair electrical and electronic systems as well as associated mechanical equipment. Maintain a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors with regards to building fabric and building services.
Main Duties of the Job
Responsibilities:
1. Work as an individual and act on own initiative as well as part of the trade team and participate in cross-trade working as and when required.
2. Must be willing to carry out basic duties of mixed disciplines and attend training courses as necessary.
3. Prioritise own workload on a day-to-day basis and ensure tasks are carried out in an effective order, considering both urgency and location.
4. Use all workshop machinery to its fullest potential.
5. Keep all Trust issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in good condition and wear when necessary.
6. Willingness to work as a mobile operative and travel to all sites across the estate as and when required.
7. Willingness to travel to different locations if/when the estate expands.

Person Specification
Education
* City and Guilds Technical Level 3
* Recognised Trade Apprenticeship in electrical discipline
Experience
* Specialist experience and professional knowledge to degree level obtained through technical courses and experience.
* Knowledge of Electrical safety Code for LV systems.
* Working knowledge of HTM 06-02 - Low Voltage systems.
Personal Qualities
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Performance focused - to operate within agreed performance standards.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer skills.
* Enthusiastic, reliable, motivated & have excellent organisation skills.
* Degree of initiative to prioritise and organise daily duties.
Additional Requirements
* Holder of a current full UK Driving Licence.
