Salary: £25,183 - £25,584

We’re looking for multiple seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our Chorley based “StreetScene” team. In this role, you’ll be working all around Chorley in an extremely varied role, looking after Chorley’s community spaces, parks and streets. You’ll be ensuring that they’re in perfect condition for Chorley’s residents and visitors to the area.
What you’ll be getting up to
* In the varied role, you’ll be getting involved in a variety of “Streetscene” tasks which will include mowing, weeding, edging, strimming, hedge maintenance, litter collection and more.
* Carry out soft landscaping, fine turf care, tree work and sports pitch maintenance.
* You’ll get involved with street cleansing tasks such as removal of fly tipping.
* Always maintaining health and safety protocols whilst working.
* Operate grounds maintenance tools and vehicles.
* Responding to minor emergencies such as flooding, obstructions, and damaged street furniture.

* You’ll be helping keep community spaces looking their best, so we’re looking for someone who can really take some pride in their work.
* A team player.
Other Requirements
* This role requires you to regularly use a vehicle therefore you must possess a valid UK Driving Licence.
