As an Electro Magnetic (EMAG) CAE Technical Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping our future strategy and leading the delivery of cutting-edge propulsion systems.
What to Expect
In this role, you'll provide expert knowledge in EMAG simulation and CAE delivery across Propulsion Systems. You'll have the chance to coach and mentor a talented group of analysts in an agile environment, ensuring the successful validation of our client’s Powertrain Units & Systems through EMAG analysis and virtual processes.
You'll also contribute to the development of best-in-class delivery processes, analysis methods, and virtual engineering tools. Your work will influence future Powertrain design across our programmes and support the career growth of your team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support programme delivery by deploying Chapter members within an Agile framework.
* Collaborate with Product Owners to assess resource and technical requirements across propulsion systems and commodities.
* Enhance quality and consistency of virtual delivery processes through best practice identification, process improvement, and documentation.
* Quality assure work delivered by Chapter members and ensure effective and consistent application in programmes.
* Build a thriving EMAG community to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration across engineering teams.
What You'll Need:
* Proven ability to develop and mentor engineers with a clear vision and unified objectives.
* In-depth understanding of EMAG principles, including EMC/EMI, and associated failure modes and legislation.
* Experience in conductive, radiative, and coupling emissions assessments during various vehicle operating modes (e.g. charging, traction) across propulsion commodities.
* Expertise in EMAG analysis related to electric drive units, inverters, and battery electric modules.
* Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of EMAG analysis tools (e.g. CST), delivery processes, and method development.
