Job summary Would you like to be part of pioneering service expanding the Out of Hours provision for specialist palliative care services supporting patients across West Suffolk and Thetford? As part of the West Suffolk Alliance, we are committed to supporting people to die well, and where possible in accordance with the choices they have made. This means enhancing the support we provide during out of hour periods, whilst working in partnership with our Alliance colleagues. We are looking for a driven and ambitious practitioner, ideally with a Non-Medical Prescribing V300 qualification and with Advanced Clinical Assessment skills. The successful candidate will have a Nursing or Paramedic background to work alongside a Healthcare assistant out of hours. Main duties of the job With experience in Specialist Palliative Care you will be able to support patients where they call home, provide a robust clinical assessment, support timely symptom control, prescribing where needed (Clinical support is provided out of hours). Working alongside the Early Intervention Team within West Suffolk Hospital out of hours to facilitate an effective response and to those with unmet palliative care needs. You will also have a close working relationship with St Nicholas Hospice Care Colleagues.
