Project Manager - Vaccination, Immunisations and Screening Programmes
The post holder will be a member of the vaccination, immunisations and screening team and work alongside the Assistant Director and Clinical Lead providing day-to-day project support and a point of contact for our vaccination teams and GP practices. The role includes planning and day-to-day support for the team whilst supporting the vaccination delivery programme across Gloucestershire.
A key priority will be the continued roll-out of the Covid-19 and other vaccination and immunisation programmes and how these existing programmes can be improved across the ICS. This will build on existing good practice, reflecting changes to national policy and guidance and anticipated future delegation of commissioning responsibilities from NHSE to Gloucestershire ICB.
Main Duties of the Job
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the postholder will be a member of the Clinical and Quality Directorate and will have recent experience of working across multiple organisations with a successful record of delivery, preferably in vaccinations.
We are looking for enthusiasm and self-motivation to embrace the challenges of this role and continue the great work in delivering the Covid vaccination programme. The successful applicant will provide a point of contact across the ICS and continue to build and maintain excellent collaborative working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
1. Support the planning and delivery of vaccination, immunisation, and screening programmes across Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (ICS).
2. Support the ongoing roll-out of the Covid-19, Flu, and RSV vaccination programmes ensuring effective mobilisation of the booster programmes.
3. Support and project manage the mobilisation of the future operating model for the delegation of immunisation and screening programmes.
4. Support the vaccination teams within the ICB and provide administrative and project support to the ICS Vaccination Delivery Group.
5. Maintain effective working relationships with primary, community, and secondary care vaccination providers, and Public Health Gloucestershire.
6. Support the Assistant Director of Vaccination, Immunisation and Screening in their role and provide cover during their absence.
7. Provide project support and management for vaccine, immunisation, and screening programme delivery to colleagues in the ICB.
8. Ensure accurate records are maintained and that regional returns are submitted on time.
9. Support providers to deliver agreed national and local standards and targets.
10. Provide support on the assurance of planning and performance to the ICS.
11. Support quality improvement and transformation of services to achieve better outcomes for the population.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience.
* Further training and experience to post-graduate diploma level equivalent.
* Experience in communications and stakeholder engagement.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Project ECDL and a range of computerised software.
* Previous experience in a similar role in the public sector.
* A good understanding of the health and social care environment.
* Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services.
* Comprehensive knowledge of project management/monitoring.
* Managerial knowledge, development, and experience.
* Knowledge of business case procedures and processes.

* Previous experience in project management and planning.
