Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Contract 2/3 months
Location: Southampton
Full-time Contract On-site.
Rate: Outside IR35
Main Job Duties:
Apply strong knowledge of supplier development techniques.
Interpret Mechanical and Electrical engineering drawings.
Lead supplier audits and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Review and collaborate on supplier manufacturing processes for improvement.
Assess manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety, and Environmental risks during supplier approval.
Coach suppliers in Material Review Boards, Root Cause Corrective Action, and Non-Conformance Management.
Work with internal departments to define process parameters and ensure supplier process capability.
Support the Product Introduction Management process to meet required standards.
Coach stakeholders in Quality Assurance Tools (PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).
Maintain working knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, and Defence AQAPs.
Utilize knowledge of measurement techniques including Metrology and Inspection Methods.Essential Experience:
Strong knowledge and experience in supplier development techniques.
Proven history in Defence or Automotive supply chain management.Desirable Qualifications:
HND/HNC in manufacturing/engineering or relevant experience.
