Background
The Training Department plays a central role within the Pacifica operation. It has been responsible for the training and development of White Goods Engineers over the past 10 years and has developed a reputation as one of the UK’s best providers of technical learning.
An opportunity exists for a highly experienced White Goods Engineer or Manager to join our team to deliver high quality training to Pacifica’s employees, franchisees and partners. The role is demanding but provides an incredible sense of achievement as you see trainees develop their career in White Goods.

Key Responsibilities
· Assisting the Training Manager in the design and implementation of training plans, identifying needs and developing training solutions within the context of the company values for all new Trainees and Engineers
· Assisting the Training Manager in the design and implementation of training plans, identifying needs and developing training solutions within the context of the company values for all existing Engineers and Trainees
· Promoting a positive safety culture within Pacifica
· Delivering in-house training programmes, developing courses specific to services, and sourcing external training requirements to supplement in-house training as required
1. Maintaining and updating training and reference materials
2. Building strong working relationships with key colleagues, working with them to identify training needs and implement solutions
3. Identify emerging issues and needs that will determine future demand for training across the functions within the Field Service Operation
4. Ensure Pacifica’s health and safety processes are maintained
Required Experience, skills, behaviours and attributes:
5. Minimum 3 years White Goods repair engineering experience required, with up to date working knowledge of the following; washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigeration and cookers. CCN1 and CKR1 ACS Qualifications would also be advantageous but are not essential.
6. UK Full Driving Licence
7. Successful candidate needs to be a reliable and conscientious individual
8. Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification (NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training & Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement)
9. A strong desire and/or experience in developing and facilitating training courses and development solutions
10. Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing others in a complex, fast paced environment preferred
11. Ability to identify areas for improvement, bring measurable results, improve efficiency and, where possible, save costs
12. Excellent people skills, and used to dealing and building good rapport with various levels of management
13. Excellent electrical safety knowledge
14. Experience of managing own workload consistently and effectively
15. A fresh, positive approach to training and development
16. Excellent communication style and ability
17. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
· Computer literate ie: Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
