We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Social Worker to join our 16+ Team.
We expect our practitioners to have a sound understanding of the practice implications of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act and other relevant legislation, be up to date with emerging issues, and have experience of or an interest in working with young people aged 16+. Committed to anti-oppressive practice, successful candidates will bring strong assessment, communication, and planning skills.
The 16+ Team delivers services to young people aged 15 years and 9 months to 25 years of age. You will work with young people who are homeless, who are in need of care and support, young people subject of child protection planning, and care experienced young people in their transition to adulthood.
You will be required to undertake direct work with young people such as life journey work, risk management, and emotional wellbeing support.
We will look to you to manage a defined caseload while building and maintaining links with partner agencies. You must possess a professional recognised Social Work qualification and be expected to be registered and maintain your registration as a 'Social Worker' with Social Care Wales on appointment.
