The Henry Ford Academy in Daventry is Ford Motor Company's premier training and development centre in the UK. This state-of-the-art facility serves as the national hub for training and excellence for the Ford Dealer Network, offering a broad range of training, designed to enhance the skills of technicians, sales staff, and management personnel.
We’re looking for a highly analytical and strategically minded Business Intelligence Supervisor to lead our reporting and data analytics function. In this pivotal role, you’ll transform data into meaningful insights to drive business performance, manage a small team, and support senior operational leaders. You'll oversee projects involving Power BI and Qlik Sense, contribute to the transition to a new LMS, and maintain key data systems. Role Responsibilities:
* Combine analytical thinking with creativity to understand client needs (internal and external) and deliver value
* Analyse business functions and identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement
* Interpret complex data and produce high-quality reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences
* Lead and support projects related to training, performance analytics, and operational efficiency
* Manage and develop a small team, ensuring continuous support and professional growth
* Act as a Learning Management System (LMS) super user and data administrator
* Maintain and update dealer and field team data within the LMS
* Support data migration and maintain solutions to extract LMS data to the Google Cloud Platform via API
* Contribute to LMS-related process improvement projects
* Analyse internal business and dealer performance data to support decision-making
* Conduct statistical analysis, trend monitoring, customer satisfaction tracking, and anomaly detection
* Assist with database development and data modelling
* Deliver ad-hoc data insights as required
* Lead development and standardisation of business performance reports
* Produce high-quality materials for business reviews, quality of service, and contractual activities
* Report from multiple systems, including GCP, BigQuery, Ford Data Factory, and Ford Legacy Systems
* Provide performance analytics to support accurate calculation of dealer training charges
* Support senior leadership (Head of Operations, Finance Manager, and Partnership & Performance Manager) in achieving financial objectives
* Use reporting to optimise business performance and reduce resource waste
* Work closely with the Business Intelligence and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Lead and consult on deep-dive projects and ISO/process improvement activities
* Track key metrics to measure and support ongoing business enhancements
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation
* Support operational delivery as needed
* Contribute to cross-functional projects as assigned by the Line Manager
* Provide guidance and support to direct reports to foster growth and performance
Person Requirements:
* Proven experience in at least two of the following: quality management, data analytics, database management, business reporting, or project management
* Strong problem-solving ability with experience influencing decision-making
* Previous experience in an automotive or commercial training environment
* Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator, capable of engaging stakeholders from operational to senior management levels
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business functions
* Demonstrable experience in driving continuous improvement and managing change
* Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Resilient and proactive, with a solutions-oriented mindset
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Power Query, and Power BI (including DAX, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Teams)
* Intermediate knowledge of QlikSense (Desktop, SaaS, and content management)
* Knowledge of Python, SQL, APIs, and data warehousing principles desirable
* Experience with forecasting, financial analysis, and use of statistical tools to translate data into insights
* Understanding of database design and schematics
* Strong presentation and design skills; proficiency in producing high-quality reports and visuals
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., marketing, mathematics, statistics, or science)
* Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc) desirable
* Certification in Microsoft Power BI and/or QlikSense preferred

Contract: Full time / Permanent
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
