We are seeking an experienced Nurse who is passionate about developing the skills to become a Nurse Practitioner.
You will be part of our dynamic team which has a broad scope of advanced practice in delivering same day/urgent care services. The role will be highly supported whilst you develop the skills required to work autonomously.

Main duties of the job
To assist the Walk-in Centre team in the service delivery and management of patients in unscheduled care, by providing high quality, evidence-based care to meet the health and social care needs of the local population.
To work with the Walk in Centre (WiC) clinical practitioner team and develop the skills and theoretical knowledge required to become a competent, autonomous nurse practitioner.
The post holder is required to undergo training in enhanced practice that will ultimately enable them to undertake a full assessment of patients. This includes history taking, physical assessment, and other enhanced practice skills that are required for making autonomous decisions in relation to unscheduled patient care.
The post holder is required to work hours that can be deemed as unsocial. No night shifts.

* RGN: Current valid registration with N.M.C on relevant part of the register.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Experience

* Evidence of recent and relevant post-registration nursing experience at a Band 5 in A&E, or rapid response/first contact setting.
