Pendigo Events is the in-house organising arm of the NEC Birmingham, the UK’s largest indoor exhibition venue. As part of this new and exciting venture, Pendigo has already acquired and launched 5 exciting events, with others in early development. At Pendigo, we are able to utilise the backing of the NEC to deliver creative, content-rich, immersive experiences in a way that is already wowing thousands of clients and visitors.
We are looking for an Operations Assistant to join our Pendigo Events team, working primarily across our fitness events (Fitfest, Strength in Depth, and PerformX). The ideal candidate will be passionate about events and exhibitions, and looking to build a career within a creative, fast-moving, and growing events business.
We’re looking for an individual who:
* Has previous operational experience in B2C events and/or live events including but not limited to sporting events/competitions and conferences.
* Can develop excellent client relationships, is personable, and has good organisational skills.
* Is comfortable working to deadlines across multiple projects and/or events.
* Is happy working towards completing tasks while using their own initiative.
* Can work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team to research suppliers and ideas across the events.
* Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Is positive, enthusiastic, dedicated, reliable, approachable, and hard-working.
* Is patient and works well under pressure.
* Is customer service-oriented.
* Has excellent written and communication skills.
* Has excellent computer skills within Microsoft.
