Our social work practice with children and families is crucial. It can be both incredibly challenging and immensely rewarding. The responsibility of working with families, where your decisions and influence can shape and change lives, is significant.
We foster a culture of high support and high challenge, providing our workforce with relevant training and learning opportunities to undertake great practice. We create spaces for learning from others and receiving appropriate challenges to ensure that the decisions made are the right ones for children and families. The relationships you build with families in the MASH will be central to the help we can offer and how they experience and receive this support.
We are looking for someone who can contribute to building and improving our team, enhancing the timeliness and quality of our responses to children and families in need of safeguarding. You will be expected to work independently, demonstrate initiative, build good working relationships with partner agencies and be a strong team player.
Our Children Social Care workforce is strong and growing. We have navigated recent challenges with agility and resilience and are now entering our next phase of improvements. It is an exciting time to join the service, as many initiatives and opportunities are being offered to staff who are as committed and passionate as we are.
Special requirements for this post
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including a Disclosure check. You will have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and hold a recognised Social Work qualification and a current Social Work England Registration.
About you
You will need experience of working with children and their families to safeguard and promote their welfare. You will need experience in managing in a fast-paced MASH environment, be an analytical and curious practitioner who is committed to embrace our relational approach. We are looking for conscientious and compassionate people to grow our already established workforce.
