We have a rare opportunity for a well-organised, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our team as an Admissions Coordinator.
This post is based in our purpose-built unit and will include a wide range of duties relating to the Infusion Centre and Outpatient Parental Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT). The service currently co-ordinates and manages a range of specialist interventions to patients from across the region.
You will play a key role in the efficient day-to-day activities of the service. You will need to be able to deliver and maintain a professional administration and telephone services to the team and to all its users: patients, relatives, and colleagues.
Main duties of the job
You will provide high-quality administrative support to the Cambridge Infusion Centre and OPAT. The successful applicant will:
* be able to provide effective, efficient scheduling of patients
* be a team player and be able to balance several different tasks at a time
* help support flow through the unit by keeping Epic up to date, and any other admin duties as required (booking of follow-up appointments, responding to telephone calls & emails, photocopying, and filing).

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent
* Typing qualification or equivalent experience
* Specific technical/professional qualification
* Secretary qualification or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of working in a busy clerical/office environment or reception service
* Secretarial and/or administrative experience including minute taking
* Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks
* Working within guidelines
* Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
* Data entry experience and documentation
* Experience of IT packages - Microsoft Office
* Experience of producing documents to a high standard
* Previous experience of working in NHS
* Previous experience of working with medical records
Knowledge
