What skills and experience we're looking for
Candidates should be able to demonstrate recent, successful, and sustained impact as a senior leader and while experience in special school leadership is preferred, it is not essential. The successful candidate must have a positive attitude which will inspire, enthuse and motivate students, staff and the wider school community. You must have the confidence to take accountability and responsibility for actions and decisions, be approachable and have the skills to work collaboratively, and the ability to build effective teams while being a present and visible leader who leads by example.
What the school offers its staff
The new Headteacher will have the opportunity to lead a highly qualified, skilled and committed staff body who are motivated to support the school’s continued progress. There is a real appetite to continue to develop and enhance all aspects of the school’s provision. The new Headteacher must be an inspirational and progressive leader who will harness that energy. They will have the autonomy and ability to make decisions and to be creative while working with a Trust team that will offer support, guidance, challenge, and reassurance to achieve success.
This is an exciting time to join Endeavour MAT as it embarks on a period of growth, with 3 mainstream primaries joining the existing 4 special schools in the near future. The Trust prides itself on being a supportive community of schools, ensuring that through collaboration and working in partnership, it significantly enhances the quality of educational provision offered. The Trust is outward-looking and dynamic and expects the same from its leaders. Your continued development will also be a priority, and you will receive excellent support and advice from a talented team of colleagues who will invest in your professional learning and development.
