What is the role?
The Project Lead – Passenger Journey is tasked with the complex development required on the key touchpoints within the passenger journey at London Gatwick. The role will primarily focus on developing the requirements to deliver transformational change of our check-in infrastructure and process. This role supports the airport's growth and performance goals by developing the requirements and plan for multiple long-term projects, each lasting over three years and valued at around £20 million. The lead collaborates with various stakeholders, including regulators, airlines, and contractors, ensuring smooth project execution from planning to go-live, all while maintaining regular airport operations.
What will you do?
* Develop strategic infrastructure requirements to inform detailed scopes for future passenger journey touchpoints.
* Plan and manage all aspects of program workstreams through relevant teams.
* Engage with airlines to understand and meet future check-in and boarding requirements.
* Collaborate with IT, Innovation, Engineering, and Construction teams to define and implement Gatwick's strategy.
* Work with project delivery teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project completion.
* Represent programs at approval and update boards.
* Find creative solutions to maintain terminal operations during construction.
Do you have what we're looking for?
* Extensive experience in Aviation passenger journey development including latest technology approaches.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience leading workstreams and virtual teams.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of simplifying complex issues and motivating cross-functional teams.
* Critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate information and consider alternative perspectives.
* Commercial expertise to develop compelling business cases, considering all costs, revenue streams, and regulatory impacts.
* High emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage interpersonal dynamics effectively.
* Strategic thinking capability, with a knack for identifying and exploiting synergies.
* Extensive experience managing complex stakeholder relationships with internal and external experts, regulators, and airlines.
* Strong track record of building and managing cross-functional teams.
