The role: Commercial Account Manager
We’ve proven demand for commercial insurance services in our sector, and we’ve got a bunch of great clients benefitting from Bikmo advice and protection we’ve brokered from our range of insurance products.

Your mission
After a phenomenal year's growth in 2024, we’re looking for the right person to keep that growth trajectory on track, so we can protect more awesome businesses across a diverse mix of business types. Once you’ve got to grips with our current position, you’ll help shape the product development strategy to meet the strong demand we’re seeing.
It’s early days for Bikmo for Business. You will be part of a small commercial team, but we promise you won’t be alone. You will work closely with our Head of Commercial, plus, we’re a growing team of 45+ and we have experts to support you from Operations to Marketing.
You will provide support to our existing clients and respond to new enquiries.
Your key duties and responsibilities will be:
* To account manage our existing commercial clients, including bike shops, event organisers and other businesses within the cycle sector.
* To provide trustworthy and reliable advice to businesses on their insurance and where possible to offer a recommendation and product.
* To collaborate with existing and new insurers, brokers and intermediaries, to widen and deepen our access to product in order to meet more sector demand.
* To improve efficiency in Bikmo for Business, quote processes, recommendation to renewals, so we can scale as painlessly as possible.
* To report back performance and MI to the wider team and insurers.
* To embody the Bikmo values and ethos in all that you do.
* Provide guidance, support and an extra pair of hands in developing our consumer product lines.

You will be a self-directed person who can manage your own time and can collaborate with people who have different working styles in different timezones. What we’re looking for
People with development underwriting experience from insurers or MGAs, or with experience of working within a brokerage.
Essential experience / qualifications
1. Cert CII qualification or equivalent through working experience.
2. Experience in insurance sector underwriting practices, quoting and client management.
3. Establishing agencies and relationships with insurers.
4. Strong understanding of insurance principles and theory.
Bonus experience / qualifications
1. Ability to advise businesses, recommend and issue suitable cover.
2. Experience across multiple product types and lines.
3. Experience or interest in cycling.
Personal attributes
1. Well organised, efficient whilst maintaining excellent accuracy to detail.
2. Flexible with a developmental approach.
3. Ability to work in a team and also on own initiative.
4. Ability to think laterally and solve problems.
5. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and work accurately.
6. Ability to be mobile within the UK for the purpose of business travel including meetings and networking events.
