We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on a major civils infrastructure project based in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering a high-profile and technically challenging project in the region.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring cost control and budget management throughout its lifecycle. This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in the civils sector who is looking to further develop their career.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:
Managing project budgets, costs, and financial forecasting
Preparing and negotiating contracts in compliance with NEC or other frameworks
Supporting the preparation and submission of final accounts
Collaborating with the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Conducting site visits to monitor progress and address any cost-related issues
Providing financial advice and regular reporting to stakeholdersRequirements for Quantity Surveyor:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the civils or infrastructure sector
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Proficiency in cost management tools and Excel
