Games Workshop is looking for a Group Tax Advisor to join our high-performing tax team. In this key role, you will contribute towards supporting the company's tax strategy, ensuring compliance and managing risk across all tax-related matters. Your ability to navigate complex situations with integrity and compassion will ensure that we maintain the highest standards in all aspects of direct and indirect tax, advising on global tax issues whilst maintaining compliance. As we are a vertically integrated business, you will be working across all functions, so your commercial acumen and ability to understand key business drivers across different tax jurisdictions will enable you to advise on corporate tax in the UK and overseas, corporate structures, and transactions. With a pragmatic approach and a keen eye for detail, you will adhere to filing dates whilst maintaining accurate records. You will also provide tax support for global projects, ensuring alignment with the unique requirements of the business to support growth with effective mechanisms in place to optimise tax outcomes and mitigate risks. Tax will be your specialty, but you will also need to be a people person, happy to have conversations with a wide range of staff and able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively. You will be responsible for providing information across the business and working collaboratively across global territories, including the EU, North America, Australasia, and Asia. Games Workshop is committed to everyone working together to provide great service and continuously review and improve what we do so part of your role will be to develop and maintain support for HMRC's Business Risk Reviews and Senior Accounting Officer sign offs as well as addressing any systematic issues impacting these. Being technically strong, the ideal candidate will have a background in corporate tax either in practice or industry and a desire to continuously develop a wider tax and commercial outlook.
