2542 – Infrastructure Engineer - Aberdeen
We have an opportunity for highly motivated and skilled Infrastructure Engineers, with Azure administration experience, to join our team in Aberdeen. The successful candidates will provide a mixture of operational and project support within an enterprise setting. These roles are based in Aberdeen, and offer hybrid working.
What you’ll do
* Act as 3rd line support for Infrastructure related services
* Prioritise and manage incidents
* Manage and monitor event and alerts
* Technical planning and implementation activities for infrastructure related projects
* Identify and manage problems and perform root cause analysis
* Document and peer review operational support knowledge
* Maintain patch and security baselines for Infrastructure related services
* Design, recommend, plan and implement Infrastructure solutions
* Act as technical authority for Infrastructure services providing technical governance for change activity
* Liaise with infrastructure service vendors
* Participate in an on call rota
What to bring
* Enterprise infrastructure support experience ideally within an Oil and Gas setting
* Experience of installing, configuring and supporting infrastructure technologies and products in both virtual and physical environments
* Azure administration experience
* Working experience of the following:
* -Microsoft Windows Server
* -VMware vSphere
* -Active Directory
* -Azure VPN
* -Azure Virtual Desktop
* -Azure files
* -M365
* Advantageous to have experience of the following:
* -Linux
* -NetApp
* -Isilon Storage Systems
* -Azure IaaS
* Information Security & Compliance best practices
* Skills in root cause investigation and the ability to resolve business critical issues
* An awareness of emerging technologies and demonstrable desire to stay current
* Problem solving skills
* Ability to be self-supporting and proactive
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with individuals up to Senior Leadership level
* Experience and understanding of working within an ITIL environment
* Azure Certification is preferred but not essential
