MDCV UK MDCV UK has a vision to bring the finest English and Provençal wines to the UK market. We have a long history of producing award-winning Provence Rosé and English Sparkling Wines, with an extensive infrastructure, both in France and the UK. We will be the largest producer of wine in each of these regions by 2024, with a combined production of over 10 million bottles annually. Our French estates span over 1000 acres and are already established in many global markets, with sales of over 4 million bottles. In the UK, we are establishing the largest single vineyard site, based in Kent, and plan to be in full production from 2024. Key responsibilities We run an extensive fleet of tractors, farm implements, harvesting & packing equipment, minibuses, and pickups. Reporting to the workshop manager and working within a small skilled team, the role will mainly be based in our workshop in Upper Bush with some repairs being carried out in the field. The smooth running and reliability of our fleet is vital to being able to meet the demand in the field and minimise downtime. Preventative maintenance is a large part of the role together with being able to quickly diagnose and repair any breakdowns as they arise. You will be responsible for… Complete first level diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on all machinery and equipment. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine availability above 95%. Delivery of a preventative maintenance schedule and completion of traceability documents for both maintenance and preventative maintenance. Commissioning and decommissioning equipment and machinery for storage and/or at end of the season where appropriate. Servicing of tools to ensure availability levels and modification of tools to improve their use. Ensuring you have a clean and tidy workshop at all times. Inventory and stock management, a place for everything and everything in its place. Periodic counts of parts, tools, equipment, and machinery. Requirements Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills. Good all-round mechanical skills with advanced knowledge of diesel engine maintenance and repair. Experience working with heavy-duty agricultural equipment. Machining, welding, or metal fabrication experience would be considered an asset. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently. Organized, dependable and detail-oriented team player. Quick learner and efficient with a high sense of urgency. Full consideration for personal health and safety as well as that of others. Full UK driving licence. Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
