Based at Ruthvenfield Depot but may be required to work at Aberfeldy Depot or Blairgowrie Depot due to operational requirements. As an Assistant Project Engineer at Tayside Contracts, you will work with an experienced Project Engineer to coordinate and control small to medium sized roads maintenance contracts and other civil engineering contracts. You will supervise/manage employees and allocate plant. You will assist in the planning and preparation of construction works programmes and associated development of project Health and Safety plans. If you have experience of working within the Construction Industry, managing small to medium sized civil engineering contracts, we'd love to hear from you. You will have an SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Civil/Building Engineering or a relevant subject area and have proven experience of financial management as you are responsible for job cost ledgers on allocated projects. You will possess good written and verbal communication skills, good organisational skills and the ability to work to set targets. You will have a positive approach, be a team player with good interpersonal skills. A Category B Driving Licence or equivalent entitlement to drive in Great Britain is essential. You will also be paid: Standby Payment - £.72 per week when on standby.
