JOB
OVERVIEW
As
a Membership Finance Executive, you will be on-site, playing a pivotal role in managing and
optimising the financial operations of our membership and revenue streams. Being
part of the Membership team with a dotted functional reporting line to the
Director of Finance, you will ensure seamless financial transactions, accurate
reporting, and an exceptional member experience. Your analytical mindset,
attention to detail, and expertise in CRM and financial systems will drive the
integrity of our revenue records and membership lifecycle.
The role is office based and involves managing membership
finances, ensuring payments are processed, reconciled, and accurately recorded
in the ERP system. Daily reconciliations across financial payment platforms
help maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies. The role also
oversees cashiering, banking transactions, and resolving payment discrepancies.
Strong financial management skills ensure accurate transactions, smooth member
experiences, and clear reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance, reporting & analytics:
o Support manual
payment posting and reconciliation in SFDC (cash, BACS, direct debits,
refunds).
o Oversee verifying
member statuses and inform the membership team of discrepancies, before key
trigger dates and post trigger dates
o Ensure accurate
bank clearance verification and verify all payments for accuracy
o Oversee daily
reconciliation between CRM, Salesforce and Business Central to maintain
accurate financial records
o
Cross-check
renewal (fee increases), overdue, membership category data changes and new
member data before automated notifications and post automated notifications
o
Assist
membership manager in creating renewal and resignation reports.
o Oversee generating
in depth membership trend analysis reports as and when required for
decision-making.
o Interpret data,
generate insights, and make recommendations for improving membership retention
and financial efficiency.
o Process and
posting refunds, ensuring details are correct and escalating when necessary.
o Oversee ensuring
membership revenue aligns with active membership – new and renewals.
o Oversee investigating
and resolving discrepancies between system postings and financial reports as
well as unknown membership payments.
o Support all
Salesforce development in relation to membership payment type and cycles
o Prepare in depth
reports for monthly membership meetings with Membership/Finance/COO.
Membership Lifecycle & upgrades
o Manage membership
card/pack ordering and distribution.
o Support Membership
Manager & Finance Director where needed
Communication:
o Respond promptly
and professionally to member inquiries via email and phone.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will
have the following qualifications and experience:
1.
Education
& Experience
·
A
degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
·
2-3
years of experience in a finance-related role, preferably within a
membership-based organization, hospitality, or a club environment.

Experience
with revenue auditing, reconciliation, and building financial reporting.

Financial
& Accounting Skills
·
Strong knowledge of
financial reconciliation, payment processing, journal entries, and revenue
recognition.
·
Experience handling
direct debits, bank transfers, credit card payments, and refunds.
·
Familiarity with deferral
accounting and subscription-based revenue models.
·
Ability to conduct
financial audits and investigate revenue discrepancies.
3.
Technical
& Systems Proficiency
* Proficiency
in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Membership Management Systems).
* Experience
with accounting software such as Microsoft Business Central (BC).
* Strong skills
in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
* Familiarity
with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and reconciliation processes.

Analytical
& Reporting Abilities
* Ability to
generate and analyse financial reports related to membership revenues,
F&B sales, and overall club income.
* Strong
problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying financial
inconsistencies.
* Ability to
interpret data, generate insights, and make recommendations for improving
membership retention and financial efficiency.
5.
Communication
& Collaboration
* Strong
interpersonal skills to liaise with the finance and membership teams, ensuring
smooth operations.
* Ability to
coordinate with banks, payment gateways, and members regarding payments
and transactions.
* Detail-oriented
with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial
stakeholders when needed.
