About this role
We are looking for a customer focused, motivated individual for a role as a Billing and Collections Advisor to support Grain’s customer experience. You will contact customers on the telephone to collect outstanding payments, manage the billing aspect of customer accounts, and follow our debt process to support customers in continuing to access our service.
You will have excellent customer facing skills, particularly with customers who may have fallen behind on payments. You will need to use your fantastic customer service skills and problem solving to reach an outcome that keeps our customers connected and reduces the risk of failed payments and terminated accounts.
Main responsibilities
* Monitoring customer accounts to identify overdue payments
* Keeping accurate records and reporting on collection activity
* Outbound and inbound contact with customers to collect payments and ensure payment methods are up to date
* Understanding and explaining customer sales offers and discounts
* Assigning overdue payments to ensure balances are correct
* Checking credits applied to accounts for accuracy
* Assisting with revenue assurance checks
* Spotting trends on accounts to identify areas for improvement and limit risk
* Resolving billing and customer credit issues
* Processing payments on our CRM
Working hours
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.
Experience required
* Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
* Experience and knowledge of MS Office
* Comfortable working with targets
* Patience and ability to manage difficult conversations
* Skilled in negotiation
* Problem-solving skills

Salary: £23,810 per annum.
