Blyth Valley Disabled Forum is a Charity Home Care Provider established in the Blyth Northumberland area in 1984.
We are seeking to recruit an Area Coordinator to join our Senior Care Team.
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic and committed to high-quality care support for our clients living in their own homes in the Blyth area.
Duties include:
1. Providing care to clients living in their own homes in the community of Blyth.
2. Supervising care staff to develop their caring skills and ensure quality care service delivery.
3. Facilitating visits to new clients/families prior to care commencing to ensure the Care Plan meets their needs.
4. Liaising with health care professionals such as Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to meet the changing needs of our clients.
5. Working in both our office setting and in the community of Blyth.
6. Supporting management to develop and implement improvements to care service delivery.
7. Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
BVDF will provide excellent induction and ongoing personal development training to support and develop knowledge and skills to enhance your Senior Care/Area Coordinator position.
Qualifications:
* Cache or BTEC Medication Qualification (essential).
* Health and Social Care Diploma Level 3 or above (essential).
* IT skills (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided).
Experience:
* Working in the home care sector in a senior role (essential).
* Experience facilitating supervisions and supporting care staff to develop their care skills.
* Experience working with health and social care professionals - Hospitals, GP, District Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Social Services.
* Experience of moving & handling techniques and equipment.
