A number of students also have a range of additional needs and therefore many of them have an EHCP in place. SEMH Teaching Assistant - Portsmouth You will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 and/or on a small group basis to help nurture the long-term personal and academic needs of the students, helping to build their self-esteem and give them the confidence to face new challenges. Student's needs are met in a small, nurturing environment with a highly differentiated curriculum and exceptional student-staff relationships. The role is ideal with someone who has already had experience of working in an SEMH or SEN school, or on a 1:1 basis with children with challenging behaviours. This role is on a full-time, term-time basis and they are looking for experienced Learning Support Assistants to join their team ASAP.
