Services include painting & cyclical decorations, responsive repairs & maintenance, planned maintenance & capital investment, passive fire protection and decarbonisation. The Role - Quantity Surveyor - Berkshire (Hybrid / Flexi Working) Following the successful launch of their new regional unit earlier this year, the company is now seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. As a Quantity Surveyor you will actively tender, estimate and measure onsite on a variety of works including established frameworks and core contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience of successfully managing a value of works up to £3 million. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Measure and prepare cost estimates for contracts and tenders, highlighting any commercial risks Prepare cost value reconciliations for contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to ensure correct contract planning from the outset Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure productivity labour targets are agreed and issued before contract start, including direct labour incentives where possible Build strong client and supplier relations, to ensure any variations and progress of contracts are discussed and mutual solutions are sought Build strong client and supplier relations, to ensure any variations and progress of contracts are discussed The Ideal Candidate: A curious, organised, and honest approach, paired with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, trade teams, and colleagues, creating a positive, team-oriented environment. Proven expertise in estimating and surveying, with a track record in managing projects from the tender and estimation stages through to final accounts. Experience overseeing projects with a value of up to £3 million annually, delivering successful results. A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for spotting business opportunities, improving negotiations, and maximising gains. You will describe yourself as commercial, analytical, and precise in your work. Strong Assistant / Junior level candidates will also be considered for this opportunity.
