Job overview
We are looking for a motivated and professional individual to work as part of the team, providing a high level of administrative support to the clinical and secretarial team.
You must possess good communication skills, have the ability to effectively work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative, proven organisational skills, an excellent telephone manner, and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
You will be an integral member of the team, working in a rewarding environment. This key role will involve coordinating emails and incoming calls to the service and assisting in the day-to-day administration workload.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for effective administration duties, booking patient appointments, email coordinating, call handling, and other administrative duties.
You must have previous office-based experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

* Good all-round secretarial knowledge of all office practices and procedures
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work as a team member
* Ability to organise work independently and adapt to changing priorities
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to communicate with people at all levels
* Willingness to learn new skills
Knowledge
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* A good understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook, audio typing experience (RSA II or equivalent)
* Knowledge of the Trust’s current Information Technology systems (e.g. Medisec, iSOFT, PAS)
Qualifications
* Possession of ECDL qualification
* Qualification in medical secretarial studies.
