Allesley Park Medical Centre are looking to recruit a Reception Team Leader who will work as part of the reception team while also leading the reception staff. The role is to oversee day to day operations, arranging rotas and ensuring there is adequate cover while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
The Reception Team Leader, reporting to the Practice Manager, will oversee a team of 8 receptionists who provide direction, support & assistance to patients when contacting the practice.

This role is 35 hours per week over 5 days, agenda for change pay band 4.
Main duties of the job
The Reception Team Leader is responsible for the first line management of the reception team. They act as the first point of contact for any problems raised by staff, escalating to the Practice Manager as necessary. They must ensure the reception team are well trained, supported, organised and provide an efficient and effective service to our patients.

Skills & knowledge
* Ability to use own judgement and common sense.

* Familiarity with EMIS software.
Experience
* Computer literate, use of Microsoft packages.
* 2+ years working in customer services.
* Previous primary care work.
* Experience in a healthcare setting.
* Experience in a receptionist/admin role.
* Previous team leading experience.
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education (GCSE O levels at Grade A-C) or equivalent.
* Good standard of numeracy & literacy.
* Team leader training.
