Senior Quantity Surveyor Warrington, UK Full-time Job Summary: Hays is working with a leading engineering and maintenance provider to find a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor. This role involves managing contract controls and P&L performance across multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring efficiency and compliance from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering best-in-class contract controls and P&L performance across multi-disciplinary projects. This role involves managing the commercial and cost aspects of projects from inception to close out, ensuring maximum efficiencies and compliance with governance procedures. Key Responsibilities: Compile and submit Requests for Payment (RFP) monthly, addressing client queries. Issue Early Warning notifications and coordinate responses to client-issued warnings. Review initial terms and conditions of purchase orders, contract agreements, and letters of intent. Prepare internal cost and value/P&L financial reports. Track earned value and productivity/efficiency rates. Collaborate with planners to cost or resource load programs. Issue sales invoices promptly. Update cost forecasts versus agreed target costs. Price compensation event quotes. Maintain and update compensation event and early warning registers. Assist the Commercial Manager with board report commercial slides. Review SAP cost postings and highlight anomalies. Audit sub-subcontractor valuations. Conduct weekly reviews of hours in MPower versus project timesheets. Calculate ‘Star Rates’ for extra work. Ensure contract compliance and manage cost bookings in SAP, including journal transfers for misallocations. Qualifications: Previous commercial training. Experience with NEC 4 Option A, C, and D (Contractor and Subcontract). Proficiency in change control (Fixed Price, SOR). MSc or BSc in Construction. Experience with ACostE.
