The Job Role Details: Are you an experienced operator looking to take the next step in your career?
In this role, you will be responsible for executing full crop nutrition and protection programs across various arable, forage, and vegetable crops. You will also play a key role in precision potato planting and machinery operation, ensuring efficient and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a Hardi Aeon Centura-line 4200, 24m sprayer to ensure accurate and timely application of crop protection treatments.
* Manage the potato planter, fertiliser spreader, seed drill, and other essential farm machinery.
* Support vegetable planting and harvesting operations as required.
* Operate and maintain irrigation equipment.
* Perform regular servicing, maintenance, and fabrication tasks in the workshop.
* Seek and implement new technologies to enhance farm efficiency and sustainability. * Work collaboratively within a team while taking responsibility for specific areas of operation.
* Liaise with agronomists and external partners to ensure best agricultural practices.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications - You will have/be:
* Proven experience in agricultural machinery operation, including precision planting and spraying.
* A strong understanding of crop nutrition, protection, and agronomic best practices.
* Motivated, forward-thinking, and eager to embrace new technologies.
* A team player with excellent communication skills.
* Capable of working flexibly and balancing responsibilities across a diverse farming enterprise.
* PA1, PA2, and PA4 qualifications.
* A full UK driving licence.
