Vessel Financial Controller
Do you have experience gained within a finance & accounting background within the shipping, maritime or port sector?
The Role:
The client is looking for a highly motivated person to join their Marine Operations team to manage the financial and accounting process for the vessels. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for collating, reporting, analysis, and governance around vessel expenditure in line with corporate procedures. You will prepare and monitor vessel expenditure on a regular basis, produce month-end analysis, and generate 18-month forecasts on a quarterly basis.
You will also need to maintain financial control and report in line with the company group policies and facilitate stakeholder meetings to discuss and implement cost savings where needed, along with other duties as required.
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience of managing a large organisation's financial P & L
* Experience in Freight / Logistics
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience in Account Management and excellent Customer Service Skills
* Good analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to develop creative and effective solutions to problems.
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* Graduate in accounting or finance-related subject; CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification preferred or part qualified.
