An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and lead the Medical Secretarial Service at Velindre University NHS Trust.
The Health Records Team Leader will lead the Medical Secretarial team within Velindre Health Records to ensure that an efficient and effective medical secretarial service is provided to the Consultant Oncologist and their teams.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with all users to achieve a more efficient and effective service. The post holder will review tasks, establish team working to increase productivity and reduce duplications of effort to help enhance job enrichment. They will provide day-to-day supervision of the secretarial staff, including the coordination of annual leave and the provision of secretarial cover. Monitor and oversee the training needs for the staff within their team and provide guidance.
They will be responsible for the management of Health Records Systems in accordance with Trust and Departmental policies on Record Management Standards and procedures, providing training to staff within the Health Records and other staff throughout Velindre NHS Trust on Health Records issues.
The Health Records Team Leader will provide cross cover for the Health Records Library Team Lead as required to support service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* IQT Silver

* Knowledge of NHS systems
