The Role
A family is seeking female personal care assistants in Acomb. You will support an adult brother and sister with Downs Syndrome who live in their own home. You will provide them with personal care including assistance to shower and dress. You will also support with aspects of daily living, including meals, games and activities in the home and the community as well as household tasks.
The Person
You will join a lovely team of established carers who work with the family during the week, supported by the clients' sister who lives next door.
The family is seeking someone friendly, caring and reliable.
Experience of supporting or caring for people with Learning Disabilities or Dementia is essential. Routine is important, so the family are seeking someone looking for a long term, permanent position.
Some flexibility to cover additional shifts when other team members are on leave would be an advantage, as would a driving licence.
The Hours
8.45am till 5pm Sat (three Saturdays in 4)
2pm till 8.45pm Sat (three Saturdays in 4)
8.45pm Sat till 8.45am Sun waking night (3 Saturdays in 4)
Monday to Friday 6.45am to 8.45am (5 x 2 hours =10 hours)
Monday 4.30pm till 9pm (except August)
Thursday 4.15pm till 8.45pm (term time only)
All hours paid at £12.67
The Pay
£12.67 per hour.

Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by your employer.
Please note: Each person requiring care has their own payroll scheme. Employees working for both siblings will have separate payslips, one for each person they are supporting.
