Job Title Scientific Equipment Coordinator Location(s) GSK Stevenage (UK) – Customer Site We're looking for experienced Scientific Equipment Coordinator responsible for scheduling and planning day to day activities related to equipment supported by Scientific Lab Instrument Service. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with lab staff and all services to ensure the level of service meets the needs of the scientists. Act as first point of contact for Third Party contractors arriving at site, ensuring that they have valid EHS and GMP induction prior to commencement of work. Ensure that all Third-Party contractors are managed in line with GSK procedures Support the raising, monitoring and closing out of work orders, equipment maintenance/repair, IT Services and infrastructure Escalate any scheduling failures to the Site Supervisor to assist with resolution, keeping customer informed throughout Ensure all end-user requests are completed in the agreed time period Using the CMMS schedules all off site calibration send away for as identified by the CMMS Communicates with end-user and third-party contractor to determine priority of the work to be performed and gain agreement on an appropriate date for the service and/or repair Keeps end-user appraised as to the status of the work order until completion of the work Update and maintain records to ensure they accurately reflect current status of BioCTL equipment. Where changes affect GxP equipment ensure complaint procedures have been followed Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users and Third-Party Contractors Track, report and facilitate on-time BioCTL lab equipment availability Ensure laboratory is kept clean and tidy Liaise with End-users and validation team to develop safety stock and inventory plans to meet testing plans Manage the Service/Calibration/PM/OQ/Send-Away of lab equipment to ensure accurate understanding of material availability Deliver and collect Pipettes to Pipette Clinic on a monthly basis Ensuring equipment owners sign off service reports and manage, review supporting documentation Managing asset management and CRM System Ensure Validation team have generated temporary password login details when required for vendor access Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work to own initiative but team orientated and able to work with minimal supervision Customer-oriented Results-Oriented way of working Planning and Organizing Taking the initiative
