Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality support and care to young people living in our homes. Your responsibilities will involve creating a safe and positive environment, promoting personal development, and ensuring the well-being of each individual resident.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct support and care to young residents, fostering a sense of stability and belonging.
2. Monitor and engage with residents to assess their individual needs, interests, and goals.
3. Implement person-centered care plans, engaging in practical support and delivering emotional guidance.
4. Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and general household tasks.
5. Facilitate educational and recreational activities, promoting social skills and teamwork.
6. Maintain a safe and secure environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
7. Support the young people in gaining independence and developing life skills that will aid in their transition to adulthood.
8. Management of sleep-in duties as required, providing supervision and safety throughout the night.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a residential care or support role.
2. Experience working with and coaching young people age 16+
3. Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people is crucial.
4. A compassionate and caring nature, with excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to work on a flexible shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
6. Resilience and adaptability to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
7. IT literate.
8. Have or be willing to work towards NVQ level 3 Health & Social Care.

Pay: £12.10-£13.50 per hour
