About the role: The Distribution Team Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. The role involves leading a team of warehouse staff to achieve performance targets, coordinate inventory management activities, and guarantee timely order processing and dispatch. The Distribution Team Lead plays a key role in maintaining an organised, clean, and productive environment while driving team engagement, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to company procedures and policies. Responsibilities: High Accuracy in Pick Area: Ensure team adherence to picking standards with efficient workload delegation. Goods In and Quality Assessment: Oversee receiving, inspect for damage or missing items, and implement quality control procedures. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all warehouse goods using the ERP system (IQ). Manual Handling and Forklift Operation: Safely handle goods up to 25kg and operate forklifts for larger units. Order Completion and Compliance: Assist DC Manager to ensure timely order completion within SLA’s while meeting GDPR, GMP, and GDP standards. Stock Transfers and Loading: Efficiently plan and oversee stock transfers and loading operations. Returns Processing: Develop and monitor SOPs for accurate and timely processing of returned orders. Health, Safety, and Housekeeping: Ensure high health and safety standards, hygiene, and security; maintain a clean warehouse environment. Act as DC Manager Relief: Step in for the DC Manager when required, ensuring operational continuity including holding keys. Flexibility for Ad-Hoc Tasks: Adapt to changing priorities and support various pharmacy and warehouse functions as needed Requirements: Accuracy and Reliability: High attention to detail and dependability.
