Description
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will lead on all end to end procurement across SW/ HW and services.
1. Assessing and mitigating risks associated with IT procurement.
2. Identifying opportunities for cost savings in the IT procurement process.
3. Developing procurement strategies and plans.
4. Managing supplier relationships, multiple stakeholders, and contract negotiations.
5. Overseeing all aspects of IT procurement, from request for proposal to contract execution.
6. Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
7. Monitoring market trends and supplier performance.
8. Working closely with the Procurement & Supply Chain department to achieve objectives.
Profile
A successful Procurement Category Manager (Technology) should have:
1. A strong understanding of category management, ideally IT / technology procurement strategies and plans.
2. Experience in supplier management and contract negotiation.
3. Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
4. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
5. A knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities.
6. Ability to monitor market trends and assess supplier performance.
