Job Summary
We are looking for experienced CT radiographers who are passionate about innovation and healthcare to join our team at a senior level. You will be highly motivated with a desire to be involved in the future direction of the services in accordance with the Charity values.
Experience at senior level is desirable but training to support career progression will be provided to exceptional candidates. There will be some administrative work required as part of this role therefore a good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the application of SharePoint is advantageous.
Experience operating Siemens and Canon CT systems is desired however training will be provided.
You will live within region (or nearby within commuting distance) to the THLC services in Manchester areas and must hold a full UK driving licence (dependent on area and public transport routes, a driving licence may not be essential).
Main duties of the job
To primarily carry out Lung Screening on CT units at various sites in the local Manchester communities. This role is considered a senior role with responsibility to support the TLHC management and clinical operations hub to deliver the imaging services in key locations and to work collaboratively with the TLHC programme stakeholders and nursing teams to meet the objectives of the programme.
Other key responsibilities are to ensure a safe reliable and efficient CT service is maintained. To undertake imaging procedures efficiently and effectively for all patients; adhering to best practice of radiographic technique. Participate in audit and quality assurance and provide service performance reports. Maintain a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant Codes of Practice and delivering exemplary patient care representing the Charity.
Shifts will involve working variable days over a 7-day week, (compressed shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break) at several locations in key Manchester regions. Enhancements apply to weekend and bank holiday working.
Contract Type: Permanent. Part time 34.5hpw. 2 shifts per week will also be considered - minimum 23hrs per week.
Salary: FTE £40,000 - £44,000pa (paid at £36,800 - £40,480pa based on 34.5hpw).
Town/City: Manchester - This is not considered a mobile worker role, however work will be across several locations in the community in key Manchester regions.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional, caring, high quality CT scanning services as part of the TLHC programme.
* Responsible for the daily operations and delivery of TLHC services at nominated key locations within a region.
* Ensure the privacy, comfort and safety of all patients who attend the TLHC services.
Operational Duties
* Maintain a positive partnership with NHS Hospitals and TLHC programme teams.
* Key liaison with multidisciplinary TLHC teams and respond to clinical requests from consultant radiologists.
* Responsible for the organisation and smooth running of day to day scanning lists.
* Undertake imaging procedures working to set standards and protocols in accordance with best practice.
* Provide physical and emotional support to patients throughout their attendance.
* Data entry using radiology information systems (RIS).
* Responsible for Quality Assurance checks on ionising radiation equipment.
* Ensure a clean, safe and appropriate environment that facilitates the prevention and control of infections.
Specific Duties
* Have highly specialist knowledge of all TLHC CT specific procedures.
* Support the clinical department managers with the development of workflow/process improvements.
* Participate in the review of departmental clinical policies.
* Manage clinical audits and generate KPI reports.
* Supervise clinical induction and safety education to personnel.
